  15. The TDI layer provides support routines for TDI providers and clients.
  16. This is similar to what NDIS provides to NDIS drivers, except the NDIS
  17. wrapper also handles binding, hardware abstraction, and many other
  18. things that TDI does not.
  19.  
  20. Examples of these functions include copying data to and from MDL
  21. chains, providing default indication handlers, and creating NetBIOS
  22. address structures.

  24. Although TDI doesn't do much now, it could in the future if TDI
  25. becomes an OS abstraction layer as NDIS has.
